Description
FIRST INTERVENTION RESPONDER SIMULATION TRAINING
The FIRST course is a 2-day simulation-based program taking the layperson (non-medically qualified) through the care of the trauma patient. The course is designed for the active bystander – or the person who is required to act in case of an emergency in the workplace, or through the kind of activities they do.
Who is the course for? ANYONE! It would benefit the SAPS, Security, and CPF members as well as the general public who may need to know what to do in an emergency where people have been injured. Self-care is also included in this course.
The course includes an internationally accredited ITLS Duty to Act certificate as well as exposure to the training of Austere environment awareness with our partners G73 Specialised Training. The student will leave the course with a level of understanding and the courage to act in the face of a trauma emergency – as well as the awareness of how to take care of their safety in the less-than-ideal environment.
The course ends off with a high-fidelity fully immersive simulation to bring all the learning to practice.
